Under his supervision, Dixon Electric operates an in-house apprenticeship-training program that has been recognized by the Kentucky Department of Labor as one of the most outstanding in the state.  Other programs under his direction include: on-the-job training, skills upgrade classes, pre-employment evaluation and new-hire orientation. Dixon Electric has been awarded several federal training grants as a result of Bill’s efforts.

Mechanic Shop Manager

Keeping Dixon Electric’s sizeable fleet of vehicles in a safe and dependable operating condition requires a staff of three mechanics and a large, fully equipped shop. This heavy investment in equipment, repair facilities and skilled mechanics calls for a manager with skills not normally associated with the electrical trade. Russ Johns is our man for this job. He is a retired IBM’er and a life-long farmer. Both careers provided a great training ground for his position here at Dixon Electric.
